Landwood Group was appointed by the joint administrators at Interpath to value, manage and sell the assets of SOS Wholesale Ltd.
Operating from a 70,000 sq. ft warehouse and distribution centre in Derby, SOS Wholesale was one of the UK’s largest delivered wholesalers of groceries, soft drinks, cakes, biscuits, confectionery, pet food, household products, toiletries, wine and more. The company offered an extensive range of more than 4,500 lines, including 2,000 £1 lines, featuring brands such as Mars, Walkers, Heinz, Nescafe, Colgate and Fairy, as well as exclusive discount brands.
The sale included stock, warehouse plant and machinery, IT and office equipment, intellectual property, registered names and brands, web domain, and customer databases.
The stock sale generated the majority of the realisations achieved through a competitive bidding process. The sold stock filled 786 pallets and required 27 articulated lorries to collect it from the warehouse, all completed in just over two weeks.
With more than 120 suppliers, Retention of Title (ROT) negotiations were led by the Interpath team, while the Landwood team managed the ROT stock collections on the ground.
Landwood Group coordinated stock preparation and dispatch, working closely with the Interpath team. On a tight deadline to exit the site and surrender the lease, the warehouse was handed back to the landlord completely cleared and broom clean, ready for immediate sale or re-letting.
